Privacy
We collect as little as possible. You can search for clinics without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
Your address
When you type your address to find nearby clinics, the distance is worked out inside your own browser. Your address is not sent to us or stored by us. To work out driving distances, your browser sends the map coordinates of your search point (not the address you typed) to the OSRM routing service, which returns road distances to nearby clinics. If you type a postal code or a named road, your browser asks OpenStreetMap's address lookup service (Nominatim) where it is; that service's own privacy policy applies.
If you press a Directions button, your address and the clinic's address open in Google Maps so it can show you the route. Google's own privacy policy applies to that.
Clinic listing and claim forms
If you add or claim a clinic, we receive what you type. The clinic details (such as phone, hours and services) are published on the clinic's listing once we've confirmed them. Your own name, role, email and phone number are kept private: we never show them on the website. We use them only to confirm updates with you and to keep you as the clinic's contact. We don't sell them or share them for marketing. Form submissions are stored by our website host, Netlify, and our private records are kept in a secure spreadsheet.
Home-visit requests
If you ask for a home visit, we pass your request (your name, contact details, city, postal code, what you need help with, how you'll pay and when you're free) only to clinics and checked practitioners who do home visits in your area, so they can contact you to book. We ask you not to include detailed medical information. We keep requests in a private record to follow up and don't use them for marketing. You can ask us to delete your request at any time.
If you join the home-visit list as a practitioner, nothing you send is shown on the website. We use your registration, insurance and billing details to check that you can see patients at home, and your areas, availability and services to match you with requests. We share a patient's request with you only so you can contact them, and we share your name and contact details with a patient only if they ask who will be calling.
Locum cover forms
If you ask us to find a locum, nothing about your request is shown on the website. We send the details, including the clinic's name, only to practitioners on our locum list whose registration or credentials we've checked and who work in that area. Your own contact details are shared only with practitioners who say they're interested.
If you join the locum list or say you're interested in a contract, nothing you send is shown on the website. We use your registration or credential details to check that you can practise, and we keep your details to contact you about locum contracts. We share your name, role, registration details and contact details with a clinic only after you tell us you're interested in its contract. You can ask us to update your details or take you off the list at any time.
Other services the site uses
The site is hosted by Netlify, loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and shows maps from OpenStreetMap. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites; it tells us only things like how many people visited and which pages they viewed. Like any website, these services receive basic technical information such as your IP address when the page loads.
Questions or corrections
